It's the most wonderful time of the year... Halloween! Tampa Bay's original Horror Film Festival started in 2002 and has screened 100's of Short and Feature Films giving Independent Filmmakers and opportunity to get their films to the fans and introduce their work. For the first time, the festival will be held inside MegaCon, running all day Saturday and Sunday. A great lead in to Halloween. HORROR FILM SCREENING: SCREAM BLOODY MURDER WITH Q&A FROM DIRECTOR ROBERT EMERY

The Halloween Horror Picture Show Film Festival is proud to announce a very special screening of the 1973 cult classic, "Scream Bloody Murder" with the attendance of noted cult film Director Robert Emery! This film is a psychological horror film shot in the Tampa area and is often an overlooked gem. This will be Robert Emery's very first genre Film Festival convention appearance ever! Don't miss it!

Anime Name That Tune has been a popular convention event long before Wasabi Anime was around, and we've worked hard to compile and organize hundreds of songs from well known animated Japanese films and television shows. Songs are organized by Easy (“The Sailor Moon Theme” in English) to Medium (“Sailor Moon Sailor Stars Theme” in Japanese) to Hard (“C’est La Vie” from Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon in Japanese.) KING OF TOKYO BOARD GAME

In King of Tokyo, you play mutant monsters, gigantic robots, and strange aliens—all of whom are destroying Tokyo and whacking each other in order to become the one and only King of Tokyo. Check it out in Room #17. 

SPLENDOR BOARD GAME

Splendor is a game of chip-collecting and card development. Players are merchants of the Renaissance trying to buy gem mines, means of transportation, shops—all in order to acquire the most prestige points. If you're wealthy enough, you might even receive a visit from a noble at some point, which of course will further increase your prestige. Check it out in Room #17. 

TICKET TO RIDE BOARD GAME

In Ticket to Ride you journey in your cross-country train towards adventure. Players collect and play matching train cards to claim railway routes connecting cities throughout North America! Have some fun by learning how to play and save the world!! Space is limited so be sure to register at Room #17.

MACHI KORO BOARD GAME

Welcome to the city of Machi Koro. You've just been elected Mayor. Congrats! Unfortunately the citizens have some pretty big demands: jobs, a theme park, a couple of cheese factories and maybe even a radio tower. A tough proposition since the city currently consists of a wheat field, a bakery and a single die. Armed only with your trusty die and a dream, you must grow Machi Koro into the largest city in the region. Check it out in Room #17.

MEGACON BOARD GAME LIBRARY

Come by the gaming room any time the convention doors are open to play a board game with your friends, or meet some new people and jump into a game together! Volunteers will be available to help you select a game and learn the rules from our library of dozens of games, so whether you’re looking for a classic, a modern Euro or an entertaining party game, we're sure to have something for everyone. All in Room #17.

MAGIC: THE GATHERING BOOSTER DRAFTS

A Booster draft is a limited format of playing Magic: the Gathering where you draft cards, that is, you pick one card from a booster pack and then pass it to your neighbor. The natural process of design tends to create cards that work well for drafts without having to actually spend a great deal of time focusing on it. Booster draft can also be a great way to experience the full flavor of a Magic set for new players. Running all day in Room #17.

In Pokemon TCG, players take on the roles of Pokemon trainers, with their 60-card decks made up of Pokemon cards, Trainer cards and Energy cards. Players can battle with a maximum of six Pokemons at a time, with the player evolving and switching out the Pokemon and using them to exploit elemental weaknesses. In ancient times, there was a land where Gods and Demons would wage war. A land that was graced by the five Elements, Valhalla. After a long period of time, the fighting never ceased, and would repeat itself time after time. Soon enough, the war itself would involve the people living in Valhalla. Those who fight for their own beliefs, those who fight for the Gods, those who fight against the Gods, their spirit drives them into battle, and the battle has just begun. YU-GI-OH! TRADING CARD GAME

In this game, two players Duel each other using a variety of Monster, Spell, and Trap Cards to defeat their opponent's monsters and be the first to drop the other's Life Points to 0. New players are encouraged to come out and learn to play from our experienced volunteers! It's important to learn how to play correctly, so you can enjoy picking up a game with your friends outside of MegaCon. Understanding the rules will help you make the best use of your cards and quickly become a formidable opponent! All weekend in Room #17.

Cardfight!! Vanguard is a story which revolves around the collectible card game. On a planet much like the Earth called “Cray”, you battle your opponent with the help of your units.
